No fresh window to return demonetised notes: Finance Ministry.

The Union Finance Ministry has ruled out any fresh window to return the scrapped ₹500 and ₹1000 notes.

Maintaining that demonetisation achieved its objective, Department of Economic Affairs Secretary Subhash Chandra Garg on August 31 said the Ministry was in discussions with the RBI whether there could be any additional surplus transfer during the year.
