It has issued \u20b92,000 as well as new versions of older denominations such as \u20b9500 and \u20b950.<\/span><\/h5>\n<h5><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cIn exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 24 of the Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934 and on the recommendations of the Central Board of Directors of the Reserve Bank of India, the Central Government hereby specifies the denomination of bank notes of the value of two hundred rupees,\u201d the notification issued by the Finance Ministry said.<\/span><\/h5>\n<h5><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The design of the note and the date of release have not been specified.<\/span><\/h5>\n<h5><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Earlier this week, the RBI said in a release that it would issue new \u20b950 notes.<\/span><\/h5>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Johnson Cherian.
