 Here’s a picture of a Grackle (Common Grackle), some people call it as a Black Bird. They are noisy and usually seen in the lawns and fields and usually in groups. Some people even mistake them to be crows. This bird usually appear black from a far, but up close, it has a glossy purplish colored head. Females don’t have a glossy look like the male species does and the young once have dark brown colored feathers. There are other species of birds that looks similar but are easy to identify with the body features. Common Grackles have a wide tail and it’s usually in a V-shape, even when they are in flight.
